Why Become A Member?

It's simple really. This site provides very easy ways for you to contact your elected officials to urge them to support the FairTax.

The administrators create campaigns that have a targeted, usually limited, purpose. Sometimes the campaigns are nation-wide, sometimes state-wide, and sometimes they target a specific elected official. With each campaign, the campaign administrator provides several prepared messages focusing on the purpose of the campaign. As a member, you may select the message that you feel is most in tune with your own feelings and add your own commentary, if you so choose.

You also get to see what others are saying to your elected officials. This kind of community participation gives you both ideas and encouragement and makes everyone's participation so much more satisfying.

There are also many more grass roots community building features that are available or in the works.

A former Speaker of the House once said that "All politics is local." That couldn't be more true. And that's why you'll find this site such a useful tool.

About This Form

There are a bunch of required fields on the membership application. We are asking for your name, e-mail address, and the address at which you are registered to vote. That may seem a little unusual, so it deserves a little explanation. We use the voting address to identify your Congressional and state legislature districts.

Our process first verifies the address against a United States Postal Service delivery address database. Then it uses this verified information to determine the Congressional and state legislative districts that cover your address. This is a one time process and there are limited circumstances under which you can change the address information, so please enter the correct information. The address information will only be used when you participate in grass roots campaigns to your members of Congress.

We promise that we will not share any of the following information with anyone for any reason. We further promise that we will use the voting address information provided only for the purposes described above.
